Festival … Day 2

A good nights sleep and up for continental breakfast at 8… followed by Best of Broadway show, an American troupe of singers regaling us with great songs from musicals…including Dear Evan Hansen.

Afterwards we thought we’d walk to Arthur’s Seat, on the way popping in to see a building Dad used to manage. However, after we left there, the heavens opened with stair rods of rain 😱 so we dived into Dynamic Earth for two lattes!

The rain didn’t really let up so we skipped the hill climb and headed back into town.

Day 1 – pre festival

We made it to City Airport in plenty of time (of course) for large skinny lattes 😎. Problem was they were cold first time round…had to be returned and replaced. It was all going so well…

The flight was on time (probably because Uncle Philip was nowhere near). We get the tram from Edinburgh Airport to the city and found our hotel. We left our bags and headed for the fesitval!

The first thing we found was the Oor Wullie challenge. We love a challenge!

We soon managed to get our first show tickets… The Man. Down in a basement with about 50 people and a very sweaty… Man! Very funny!

Next was Showstoppers, an improvised musical show, again very funny.

After a huge Pizza Hut sharing… pizza, we headed off for the ghost tour. We heard about Edinburgh’s horrible history and ended up in a dark graveyard. That ended at 11pm, so we headed back to the hotel for a cup of tea and large glass of red wine. No prizes…but 32,000 steps for mum (and the cup of tea).
